This just in…As “Kate” was finishing up her echo on Craig, the posse of rounding docs crammed into the room. I’ll try to paint the picture: Craig’s bed stuck out in the middle of the room so “Kate” could have room to work on the right side of the bed. I held the fort down, couchside, and 5 or 6 docs plus nurse squeezed into the remaining space at the foot of his bed. It was quite a feat. I waited for a clown and circus elephant to roll in, but no dice. They said that once we receive the echo results, we can be discharged. Yes, we. A hospital visit is a team sport—one Craig and I have been playing since last Sunday. I don’t mind it but I’m sure Craig would rather bust out of here and sleep in the comforts of his own home. Hopefully, they won’t sit on our happiness and pull a discharge “syke” on us.~E
